The Must Split

This past week if we’ve learned anything its that we don’t know who the hell we are chasing to the wild card or division. I still contest that there is no way they both fall off, but at this point who cares. Lets just win some games in the next few weeks and crawl back to within 2 games by September 10th. For today though, we worry about splitting with the Yanks this weekend.

Mike Lowell: The Good Soldier

If you don’t feel bad for Mike Lowell you have no soul. That is a statement of fact. I’ve been talking to a lot of my friends and family about the Sox chances over the last week or so, and all of them tend to agree with the things I’m saying. At the heart of the issues are guys like Mike Lowell.

Walk Off’s Galore

While the last two games certainly were not statement games for the Sox, they may have been exactly what the doctor ordered. Lots of stepping up from expected (David Ortiz walking off with a double) and unexpected sources (Scoot’s walk off bunt). The moral of the story is, these Sox aren’t dead yet.
